Welcome to the 58th International Conference of Scandinavian Simulation Society, SIMS 2017, in Reykjavik, Iceland

The first two days will be the actual conference and the third day study visits.
The schedule for submitting abstract and papers will be as follows:
  • April 15 - Submission of Abstracts (extended)
  • April 28 - Notification of acceptance of Abstracts (extended)
  • May 29 - Submission of paper for review
  • June 30 - Comments from scientific committee
  • August 14 - Camera-ready manuscript
  • August 14 - Deadline for Early Registration
  • September 25-27 - Conference 2017.
Proceedings will be published in Linköping University Press.
Easy Chair will be used for submission of papers

Extended abstract

The abstract should be structured into the following sections:
  • Title which clearly indicates the research topics.
  • Authors, names institute, country and email address . The first/presenting author is responsible for ensuring that all authors have agreed to be co-authors.
  • Background, Aims, Methods and Results.
  • Conclusions.
  • Figures and tables are allowed.
  • Maximum length of the abstract is 5000 characters, about 700 words or approximately one A4 page.


  • Conference presentations: September 25th and 26th
  • All day technical visit: September 27th

Registration Fees (VAT included) are:
  • 490 € Delegates (Early) before August 1
  • 540 € Delegates (Late)
  • 470 € Delegates with paper submission
  • 450 € Members of the EUROSIM member societies with or without paper submission
  • 100 € Master and Bachelor Students (Early) before August 1
  • 120 € Master and Bachelor Students (Late)
  • 100 € Accompanying guest/dinner ticket
Full registration fees include admission to all the sessions of the conference, the conference proceedings, refreshments, lunches and the conference dinner as well as a field trip on September 27th to hot wells and a thermal power plant using steam from the ground.
The student fees include admission to all the sessions and refreshments.
The guest fees are for additional company to the conference dinner only.
All prices are including VAT, and do not include the price of the hotel.
