Specific information for discussion paper submission

  • For submissions with the goal of being presented at the conference, without generating a scientific publication
  • Industrial contributions are especially encouraged, but we welcome submissions also from academia and research
  • Discussion papers should be 2 pages long and contain sufficient information for their thorough evaluation
  • Discussion papers will NOT be included in the conference proceedings and thus NOT be published on IFAC-PapersOnLine

IFAC Copyright conditions

All publication material submitted for presentation at an IFAC-sponsored meeting (Congress, Symposium, Conference, Workshop) must be original and hence cannot be already published, nor can it be under review elsewhere. The authors take responsibility for the material that has been submitted. IFAC-sponsored conferences will abide by the highest standard of ethical behavior in the review process as explained on the Elsevier webpage https://www.elsevier.com/authors/policies-and-guidelines, and the authors will abide by the IFAC publication ethics guidelines https://www.ifac-control.org/conferences/organizers-guide/PublicationEthicsGuidelines.pdf/view.
Accepted papers that have been presented at an IFAC meeting will be published in the proceedings of the event using the open-access IFAC-PapersOnLine series hosted on ScienceDirect https://www.sciencedirect.com/. To this end, the author(s) must grant exclusive publishing rights to IFAC under a Creative Commons license when they submit the final version of the paper. The copyright belongs to the authors, who have the right to share the paper in the same terms allowed by the end user license, and retain all patent, trademark and other intellectual property rights (including research data).

Clarion Hotel Energy

is located next to DNB Arena, the home of the Stavanger Oilers Hockey Team, close to one of the main roads in Stavanger the hotel is easily accessible by public transportation with busses to downtown every 5 minutes during conference hours. The hotel offers family rooms and various amenities that cater to families, such as a playroom for children, board games/puzzles, kid meals. The hotel has easy access to nearby attractions, making it convenient for family outings. Examples of nearby attractions: Sword in Rock, a commemorative monument of a historic Viking battle featuring three 10-meter-tall bronze swords planted into solid rock (30 min walking distance). AMFI Madla, the largest shopping center in Stavanger, located at walking distance (10 minutes) with over 80 stores, as well as various services like a library, fitness center, and medical facilities. Store Stokkavatnet, a beautiful lake popular for outdoor activities such as hiking, running, and bird watching, featuring an 8 km loop trail, surrounded by lush greenery is also at walking distance from the conference venue (10 minutes).
